L’Oréal receives the Transparency Grand Prix for its Code of Ethics
At the 9th Transparency Grand Prix Ceremony, the L'Oréal group received the Grand Prix de la Transparence for the quality of its Code of Ethics.
On 3 October 2018, Emmanuel Lulin, Senior Vice President & Chief Ethics Officer, received the prize awarded to L'Oréal among the French law SBF 120 companies.
Built on strong ethical principles - Integrity, Respect, Courage and Transparency - the L'Oréal group has now been recognised, for the second year running, by the Grand Prix de la Transparence for its Code of Ethics.
The Grand Prix de la Transparence jury relied on 4 pillars to distinguish the 46,000 data items collected from the listed companies:
- Accessibility: quickly finding comprehensive information;
- Accuracy: obtaining all regulatory content;
- Comparability: possessing information presented in such a way as to enable quick comparison among issuers;
- Availability: having access to all information as soon as possible.
This Transparency Awards ceremony was an opportunity to present a new tool for evaluating the clarity of publications, based on the double assessment of readability and intelligibility. From 2019, the Grands Prix de la Transparence will have 11 criteria for visual readability, 11 for textual readability, and 5 for intelligibility. Automatic evaluation was thus supplemented with expert human evaluation.
