L'Oréal is awarded the special Shareholder and Social Responsibility prize 2011
For the third consecutive year, the L’Oréal group has been rewarded in the Share Grand Prix awards organised by the magazine, Mieux Vivre Votre Argent, in partnership with Vigeo, an independent rating agency specialising in corporate social responsibility.
L’Oréal has received the special Shareholder and Social Responsibility prize which recognises, in particular, the group’s social commitments in terms of human resources, respect for human rights and the environment.
The jury also stressed the links the group is building with its individual shareholders, mentioning in particular the Individual Shareholder Consultation Committee, as well as the dividend increase of +10% for shareholders who have registered their shares for over two years.
During the awards ceremony last October 14, Thierry Prévot, Group General Manager, Financial Communications and Strategic Prospective Analysis, said: “Our communication towards shareholders and the financial markets includes all aspects of financial and extra-financial information about the company in response to our stakeholders expectations. 2011 has been a year rich in communication tools with the launch of the shareholders’ e-magazine and the e-newsletters. This prize encourages us to continue on this path. »
The group shares the award with BNP Paribas.
The competition’s participants are amongst the “Top 100” companies followed by Mieux Vivre Votre Argent and the website VotreArgent.fr. They are the largest market capitalisations and the most active companies on the Paris stock market.
