A look back at the 2024 Annual General Meeting
On 23rd April, more than 1,500 shareholders gathered at the Palais des Congrès in Paris for L’Oréal’s Annual General Meeting. This yearly event enables us to share L’Oréal’s vision, revisit the Group’s financial, social and environmental performance, and talk about our ambitions for the future. It’s also one of the highlights of a rich and varied programme of shareholder communications which aims to support, inform and strengthen the loyalty of L’Oréal’s individual shareholders.
The Annual General Meeting, presided by L’Oréal Chairman Jean-Paul Agon, provided an in-depth review of 2023 and the Group’s successful strategy. Following the presentation of the Group’s financial results by Christophe Babule, CFO, Nicolas Hieronimus, CEO, focused on the highlights from 2023 and why L’Oréal has everything in place to continue shaping the future of beauty, outperforming the beauty market and strengthening our leadership position. He also presented the Group’s climate strategy and decarbonisation targets that have recently been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative. Barbara Lavernos, Deputy CEO Research, Innovation & Technology, explained how L’Oréal has become a Beauty Tech leader and presented the latest innovations from the Group. Jean-Paul Agon recapped the work of the Board of Directors and its focus on L’Oréal’s strategic orientations.
A Question & Answer session gave shareholders an opportunity to put their questions to Jean-Paul Agon, Nicolas Hieronimus and Christophe Babule. The session ended with a vote on resolutions, all of which were adopted.
