L’Oréal employees playing their part
L’Oréal Citizen Day 2017 set a new participation record: 30,000 employees volunteered worldwide to support 370,000 beneficiaries.
Every year, since 2010, L’Oréal employees have devoted a workday to volunteering with charities and environmental organisations. Together, they have renovated shelters for people in need, cleaned up green spaces, conducted well-being workshops for the elderly, helped people draft CVs, and much more.
In 2017, the Group’s employees worked side by side with over 700 local organisations in 68 countries. More than 30,000 L’Oréal employees on five continents participated in the events. This record is proof that employee engagement is still on the rise, eight years after the first Citizen Day.
Citizen Day highlights from across the globe
While each Citizen Day was a remarkable event, several of them had a special impact in 2017.
A shared commitment
More than 7,000 photos were shared through the L’Oréal Citizen Day app, and hundreds of publications on social networks (#citizenday and #weareloreal) show how proud employees were to spend a day doing their part for the selected organisations.
Thanks to employee participation, Citizen Day’s positive impact grows with each passing year.
