Securing a AAA rating for the eighth consecutive year consolidates the L’Oréal Group’s leadership position. Recognition by CDP (a not for profit organisation that encourages companies to publish their environmental data) is a testament to L’Oréal’s strong sustainability performance in relation to its effort to address climate change, protect forests and ensure water security.

S&P GLOBAL RATINGS: SCORE OF 85/100

During the rating agency S&P Global’s ESG Evaluation this year, the Group achieved a score of 85/100. This evaluation assesses a company’s ability to prepare for future risks and opportunities in terms of sustainability. According to the agency, the Group’s score reflects the fact that “L’Oréal will continue to deliver strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance via its global sustainability strategy”.

ECOVADIS: SCORE OF 83/100 – PLATINUM MEDAL

The Group was awarded a Platinum medal for the second year in a row when it was evaluated by the rating agency EcoVadis. This award puts it in the top 1% of companies evaluated by the non financial rating agency. The assessment considers four broad pillars: Ethics, the Environment, Social and Human Rights, and Responsible Purchasing.

L’Oréal was included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for the sixth consecutive time. This again confirms that L’Oréal is one of the most advanced companies when it comes to equality.
